About as loud as any other nail grinder, it is comfortable to hold and the motor is strong enough to work on my medium sized dog’s nail. It is versatile, you can remove the plastic guard or use it with.

This is a game changer. I don’t use dog nail clippers because it’s easy to over-cut and nick the quick (the soft cuticle that contains blood vessels and nerves) especially when dealing with dark nails. I use a rotary tool to grind my dog’s nails. The tool I use is fairly large and loud. When my pup sees me approaching with the tool kit, he tries to leg it away. But the FuzzyFix is different. It’s much lighter and easier to maneuver. It’s much quieter, it has a nail guard (when using my rotary tool, I had to visually guesstimate for each toe) and it has a light to help prevent nail injuries. With 5 speeds to choose from, I was able to quickly cut my pup’s nails. FuzzyFix also came partially charged, so I was able to trim my pup’s nails immediately. It seems as though most rechargeable devices are using USB-C type cords and this device was no exception. This is now my go-to device when I need to trim my dog’s nails. This is a very good product.

This is a well designed grinder. It is not particularly loud. Having said that, it still scares my puppies and they won't let me use it. I think it is more from the vibration than the sound. Convenient cordless operation.

I've worked with animals professionally for over 20 years. In that time I've used a lot of nail trimmers and grinders. This has to be one of the best I've ever used.Nail trimming can be very stressful for animals. I love that this grinder is not too loud, has multiple speeds, and gets the job done quickly. It's also rechargeable.The unit is well made and very easy to use. I have arthritic hands and the size of the grinder and grooves on the sides of the handle made it very comfortable for me. I did not notice any heat coming from the grinder which is good. I also love that it has lights that illuminate the nail you're working on. This can be particularly helpful for home users that are not familiar with the nail quick.I personally used the grinder without the safety on but I do not recommend that if you are not a professional. The grinding wheel is very sharp and a novice can easily go too far and cause injury.I can't say how well this would work on large dog nails but it worked really well for my littles. This was definitely a great addition to our doggy tools, I'm very happy.
