I have a long haired dachshund and her paws were growing super long and thick. This has been the perfect trimmer for us. It has a nice guard on there so you won’t cut your fur friend. It also comes with oil and a brush to get the hair off the trimmer when you’re finished. I have one of those beautiful long hair chihuahuas who is pure honey in personality until it's time to groom his paws. I trim my own dog. She is a small Maltese that acts like a Pit Bull when you try to touch her feet. I'm sure if you are here, you know just what I mean. Over the years I've tried other trimmers that just made too much noise. This one is small, and quiet enough, it doesn't seem to bother her as much. It is easy to handle and cuts fast. The light is a nice addition.One tip I can share is I try to do her after a long walk when she is a bit tired. Sometimes that works. She has to be in the mood. This makes it much easier to get to the next step, the dreaded nail trim. You have to have the right tools. I'm happy with this purchase. Works great for the paws, and private areas.

This is a great trimmer. It comes with everything you'd need. I love that it comes with oil too - even some human ones don't, so that's great that this does. It's a little noisy for my puppy, but overall, you just do one swipe and it's trimmed. No going back over to get spots since the blade is wide enough. I did try it on my finger and was not cut - wanted to make sure there was no possible way to cut puppy. I think that if you pushed hard enough, it might, but I was not pushing hard for these trims at all.

I like the fact that this little clipper is light weight and cordless. It seems to charge quickly as well. However, it barely cut the hair around the pad of my toy poodle. The clipper seems to vibrate but not cut. I also tried it around the face of my toy poodle and found the same situation. The blade vibrates but doesn't do much cutting the hair around the dog's eyes. I am going to recharge it and try again because I really want something this small and light weight for this not very difficult job.
