Update:
I gave our standard poodle a haircut with these this past weekend. He hadn't been bathed in about 2 weeks, and our youngest daughter (he is her dog) had not been brushing him like she was supposed to.

It took 2.5-3hrs to cut his hair, HOWEVER if I had not tried to keep more of his length it wouldn't have taken nearly as long. As I said before, he was not being brushed as he was supposed and I really should have just taken the 10 blade all over. But no, I wanted to punish myself and try to keep his hair a little longer since it is getting colder. I used the 5/8 guard all over aside from a few areas I'll mention below.

The areas in which I used JUST the 10 blade (no additional guard) cut through matting no problem - behind/under ears, armpits, top of paws, and paws pads. So had I decided not to punish myself I probably would have had him done in an hour if not a little less.

I had to change out the stainless steel blade for one of the ceramic ones after about 45ish minutes. This isn't all that surprising, blades get hot, unavoidable and why I bought the extras. I started on his paws/paw pads first at the low speed since he HATES his paws messed with and I have to fight with him the entire time.

The clippers themselves are very well balanced during use, and never felt awkward or too heavy. Cleaning was super easy and quick. Being able to change out a dying battery for a fresh one during the process was also super convenient.

Definitely worth the money hopefully the set will hold up overtime. I will try to do another review in about a year. I have attached pictures of Otto before and after haircut (not the best angles, sorry).

I want to start by saying I have not used this yet, but will be using within the next week. I wanted to give my thoughts about the set on first impressions and out of the box handling.

Bought since the current set we have is just not cutting it anymore - pun inteded. The previous set (you will see in photos and small video) does not have the ability to change the blade, and it was taking 4 HOURS for me to give our standard poodle a hair cut - even after being freshly bathed, dried, and brushed out. Not to mention I felt like I was fighting the clipper to cut through his hair, and it was getting stuck way too much. I was seriously considering just taking him to a groomer once every other month for a hair cut instead of doing it myself. And I don't do anything fancy for cuts - uniform length all over except for paws and sanitary (those get cut shorter).

My husband told me to look into a new clipper/clipper set instead since I really don't mind cutting our poodle (Otto) myself. It's the amount of time to do the haircut that is the issue.

After searching around it became a toss up between two different FuzzyFix Clipper sets - this one and the BlueWave. I did look at Andis and Whal but wasn't convinced on the ones I saw. Ultimately, I chose this one (XVolt) due to being able to switch batteries if needed instead of hooking up to a cord to finish the cut, and seeing the video they have showing a groomer cutting through matting on a dog with no problem.

I really like the carrying case for this set. Everything has a spot where it should go, and it all fits snuggly in those spots. I really liked the little pad divider between the clipper storage side and the pouch side used for the guard attachments. I know this seems small, BUT it helps protect the batteries, base, and clippers (most importantly the blade) from being hit or damaged from the items stored on that other side. I was also able to fit the additional blades I ordered (for when the blade does eventually get hot during the cut - gonna happen nothing you can do about that), along with a set of scissors, forceps (cleaning inside poodle ears), and a metal comb. Still plenty of space and nothing is overly packed. My previous set didnt have a storage case, just the original manufacturer box it came it - i never liked this but dealt with it due to the price (cheap). I do have a separate grooming scissor set in its own case, but I like having a backup basic pair.

I like how the guard length attachments are metal. They won't bend or wiggle and are more durable that the plastic versions. I really like these.

The batteries essentially came 100% charged. I put the extra and the clipper on charge after opening just to be sure, but both showed the 100 the entire time on charge, so I could have started using these out of the box after adding the blade oil.

I honestly like the size and weight of the clipper. With the battery in the unit, the clipper is just short of weighing 1lb (see photos) and the blade is larger than my previous clipper. The weight won't be an issue for me - come on it's less than a 1lb people - and the size is larger but that doesn't bother me either. The sound is actually a little quieter than my previous, even on the higher setting. I feel like the videos make the clipp...

Recommend this for cat parents. Not really loud so my cat didn’t get scared she actually enjoyed the grooming lol. I didn’t charged it and used it right away and was there shaving like for an hr an a half so battery life is good! Never groomed before but this sure did make it easy for me.

Xerxes (aka SquigglesWorth) is my second Persian, and with a few products, this tool has changed my perspective on cat grooming forever. Persians can be high maintenance. I have used Wahl human blades and other cat grooming tools to control the mats, and nothing cuts through fur and complicated tangles like this. It gives a smooth and uniform cut, and a great finish with just one stroke. I didn’t use any guards, and the cut is very low and perfect for my needs. I didn’t even charge it before use and it lasted the whole session! Easiest and most effective clipper ever. Don’t let this size fool you—this is the truth!!!!

Side note: I chose to only cut his underbelly/private area for hygienic purposes and it was fabulous. He is only three months and tolerated his first shave very well because of the effectiveness of the tool.

Lightweight, not too loud, easy to hold and use, my cat didn't seem to mind it. I think these were a good value. Buzzed through her fur very well.

These clippers worked miracles for my severly matted cat. I highly recommend as they function way better than any other clippers I bought. They are very quiet so it did not freak my cat out while removing all the matting and the battery life is top notch. Just look at the pictures for proof as my cat had serious matting!

At 4oz. this oil should lubricate all the clippers in our home for quite a while. The lid/applicator is gasketed and the cap (red) is threaded, so it shouldn't pop off. It still leaks slightly, so this will need to be stored upright someplace or it may leak into the trimmer box like the little factory bottles tend to do. I applied it to our dog trimmer and to my beard trimmer. Works just like the factory oil it's replacing.

Meet Bob. Bob is happy that his Mommy got this Blade Oil to keep the clippers nice and oiled and sharp. Bob doesn't like when it pulls his fur.

I ordered that for my chihuahua I shaved him ones a year it’s working good and has few different type of parts and didn’t make him scared he usually scared of shaving.

I got these clippers to remove several mats from my long-haired, senior cat. I like that they are low-noise. But it takes several passes to remove the mats, and she gets irritated and tries to run off. I’ve also gotten too close to her skin once and it left a red mark. All in all, they get the job done but with a bit more effort than I expected.
